IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS!!!!!!

As expected, the FWO'10 will come down to the last day. Currently, OhNo! Northwest trails SK8BLDZ by just 2 points! Only two events remain:

1st: 50km Men's Cross-Country Skiing at 9am PST (11am central)
      = Three medals and 8 points are in play.
     - I would tell you who the favorites are, but this is an obscure sport.

But most likely, FWO'10 will come down to the massive hockey final. USA-o'CANADA. (12:15pst/2:15cst) OhNo! Northwest could emerge with either 5 or 2 points after this event. Thus if the USA wins, it seems that OhNo! Northwest just might be champions of FWO'10. [Also, note that C-leen/D-on could take up to 13 points today and would slingshot themselves to victory.] Get your tv's ready (and look up the Wikipedia article on hockey so that you can learn the rules)!!!! The fate of FWO'10 hangs in the balance!!!!

PS - We will update the scoring at the conclusion of the 50km men's cross-country skiing, in order to set the stage for USA/o'Canada hockey.

Also, while it is obvious New Poland has no hope for victory, commendation is deserved for "old" Poland. While a joke of a pick in the fantasy draft, they bucked all historical trends and won a Polish record 6 medals and a massive 16 points. (more than Italy, Finland, or the Czech Republic)

Game O(h)n(o): OhNo Northwest Charges Back!!!

As you casually check FWO'10 results on your laptop, Ohno is there. Watching. Waiting. Plotting. And it seems that its only a matter of time before he tries to make his last second sling shot pass. Will he glide to the top of the podium or crash to the bottom? Only time will tell.

I'm new at this blogging thing...is this like twittering? Can I say I twittered yet?! Oh I'm sorry...it's not suppose to be stream of conscious type writing!? Well fine then... lets see...

I am a bit disappointed in the host Canadian's...they said there were still going to be nice while the kicked everyones 'butts'. TWO days until they got a gold medal and it was in freestyle skiing!? I didn't know Canadian's could freestyle anything! We (team C-Leen D-On of course) would have swept the real Ohno except OH NO! (this is going to be a fun olympics!) my second and third of the South Korean sweep decided to get a little to close for comfort handing not one but two medals over to that big bad country to the south and Ohno nw. Well at least I still have hope for woman's figure skating... I just need to figure out what rhymes with Yu-Na...

Sk8 BldZ Surges to 2nd Day Lead!!!

 

Sk8 BldZ makes a serious push to the front, just like Apollo Ohno, with a sling shot pass from the back of the pack to the front. It should be noted that Sk8 BldZ made such a move with the help of a pair of French gold medals or as they say in Paris, "médailles d'or" or as they say in the real America, "freedom medals."

C-leen/D-on Jumps Out to an Early Lead

 

After the first day of medals team C-leen/D-on powered to the lead in FWO'10 on the strength of gold medals from the South Koreans and the Netherlands. Not to be outdone, Old Poland scored a silver medal for New Poland in the first round of medals awarded. Good luck today, as medals will again be awarded in the guns+skis event, as well as in several other events which appear significantly more dangerous than necessary for games that only matter once every four years.
